About Kitsap Aikido
Kitsap Aikido is a non-profit corporation that began offering classes in the Fall of 1994 in Poulsbo, Washington. The instructors donate their time and knowledge. Anyone is welcome to train with us. We are located at 650 NW Bovela Lane #5, Poulsbo, WA 98370. Please call (360) 598-1520 with any questions.
Kitsap Aikido is a member dojo of the United States Aikido Federation (USAF).
Dan Delaney (Shidoin), has over thirty years of Aikido experience. He was a founding student of the Berkeley Aikikai in 1975, has trained all over the United States and with Master Teachers from many parts of the world, including the late Kisshomaru Ueshiba, the son of Aikido founder Morehei Ueshiba.

Chief instructor, Lew Clark (3rd Dan), has over nineteen years of Aikido experience. He holds a Fukushidoin (teaching certificate) from the USAF. He teaches the adult classes Monday through Thursday.
James Nybo, 1st dan, teaches the children class on Monday & Saturday.
Jason Parker, 2nd kyu, teaches the morning stretch & flex class on Monday, Wednesday & Friday. This AM class is offered free to the community.
Our mission is to share the benefits of Aikido with the local community and to improve the health and character of our students. Kitsap Aikido is open to all applicants regardless of race, color, gender, religion, or ethnic origin.
We offer traditional Aikido training for adults and children of all ages. Feel free to come watch a practice or if you prefer, join us! No prior martial arts or Aikido experience is required. Students are encouraged to practice frequently, but each student adjusts how often and how intensely they train based on their own abilities and schedule.
